PRX Derm Perfexion is designed to work deeper while keeping the surface more intact, so you can get a smoother, brighter, firmer-looking result without the obvious shedding.

PRX is sometimes called a “no-peel peel” because most clients have little to no downtime. You might notice mild tightness, warmth, or light flaking, but you can typically return to your day immediately, with skin that looks refreshed, not “post-procedure.”

PRX Derm Perfexion is a biorevitalization facial treatment that involves the application of a combination of TCA (trichloroacetic acid), hydrogen peroxide, and kojic acid. It is designed to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines, and enhance overall skin appearance.

Here are general pre- and post care instructions to ensure the most effective results:

Pre-Care Instructions:

• Consultation: Before undergoing PRX Derm Perfexion treatment, ensure that you have consulted with an Oviedo Med Spa aesthetician to assess your skin type, concerns, and eligibility for the procedure.
• Sun Protection: Avoid excessive sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF in the weeks leading up to the treatment. Sunscreen helps prevent skin damage and complications.
• Shaving: Avoid shaving, waxing, or scrubs with granules for 1-2 days prior to your treatment.
• Skincare: Retinol (Vitamin A) / retinoids or other treatments that dry the skin or restrict circulation should be discontinued 10-14 days in advance of your PRX treatment. Isotretinoin should be stopped 10-14 days before treatment as well.
• Avoid Other Treatments: Refrain from other harsh facial treatments, chemical peels, or laser procedures 2 weeks leading up to PRX-T33. Avoid any exfoliating products for one week (7 days) prior to your treatment. Avoid ablative or exfoliating procedures that penetrate or disrupt the integrity of the epidermis for 7-10 days prior to treatment (i.e., microblading, microneedling). No procedures that aggressively treat the dermal layer (i.e., RF or IPL) in the prior 2-3 weeks.
• Hydrate: Drink plenty of water in the week leading up to your treatment to ensure that you are properly hydrated beforehand.
• Contraindications: Ensure that when you arrive you have no active acne, skin infection, acute scaling, irritated skin or sunburn.

Post-Care Instructions:

• Avoid Sun Exposure: Limit sun exposure for a few days after the treatment. If you need to go outdoors, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF and wear a hat.
• Makeup: Avoid applying makeup that covers the treated skin areas for up to 24 hours.
• Avoid Additional Treatments: Avoid other aesthetic or dental treatments for at least a week following treatment.
• Moisturize: Keep your skin well-hydrated by using only the prescribed WiQo aftercare products given to you in the days between your treatments. Follow the scheduled application instructions included in the package insert.
• Avoid Active Ingredients: Refrain from using products containing retinoids, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), or other potentially irritating ingredients for 10 days following treatment.
• Gentle Cleansing: Use a mild, non-abrasive cleanser to clean your face. Avoid harsh scrubbing.
• Avoid Hot Water: Use lukewarm water rather than hot water for washing your face, as hot water can be irritating.
• Avoid Physical Exertion: Avoid strenuous exercise and activities that may cause excessive sweating for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
• Follow-Up Appointments: Attend any scheduled follow-up appointments to monitor your skin's progress and address any concerns.
